The Truth About Six Pack Abs

I Don’t have the time

We all lead very busy lives. Family, career, friends, projects, trips, you name it. You can spend 30 minutes a day and grab an effective workout. You don’t need to spend all day and night.

Get up 1/2 hour early. There are 168 hours in a week. Spending about 3 or 4 of those hours in pursuit of health is not really that much to ask of yourself, is it? In order to take care of ourselves, we need to MAKE the time.

I Don’t have the money

Even if you can afford to join a gym, buy a bunch of equipment, or hire a trainer, however, there is no guarantee that you will reach your fitness goals. You can effectively exercise in your own home without any equipment, what about pushups, front squat, lunges, and ab crunches? Look around your home and you’ll find a dozen options for no-cost equipment.

I’m too tired to exercise.

If you are not working out, you probably ARE tired. And will continue to be. The body was made to be active and move. Cardio exercises and good nutrition will actually increase energy. If you get up and move, chances are you’ll want to continue to do so.

The key to success

The potential for success cannot be measured in dollars invested. You can purchase the finest, most expensive exercise machine and it STILL won't guarantee you a tight, toned body. The key to getting and staying in shape is dedicated, consistent effort and a commitment to getting better. Just doing it. Period. Not everyone has the same goals, now its time to set goals.

Write down your Goals

Writing down your goals will help you achieve them for a couple of reasons. It will signal to your brain that this desire is far more than just a fantasy – it is an endeavor you are committed to turning into reality. The paper that it is written on will serve as a constant reminder of what you have set out to do. Carry it with you everywhere, or hang it somewhere you will see it everyday.

Just choose someone who is realistically achievable. Now hang that where you will see it everyday. Each time you look at your role model photo or read your written goal, you should visualize what you will actually look like at that goal and how you will feel.

Take pictures

Take a before picture, and keep it where you can see it everyday. This reminds you of what you used to look like, and what you will look like again if you stop training! Before and after pictures are a focusing tool.

Take your physical measurements every two weeks. This is a gauge of how well your program is working. It will show you how far you have come and what is and what is not working for you.

Mirror Assessment

The simplest method of keeping score is a good look in the mirror, without clothing. When you look in the mirror, observe your features from head to toe, and from every angle. You can observe with clothes on, too, but the most accurate is without them.

Take a few minutes each day to note whether you're getting better or worse. This self-examination gives you incredible focus and motivation to improve.

Visualize your success!

Motivation and Goal SettingYou need to visualize yourself living in that desired lean, strong body... feel the energy, vitality, and strength running through every inch of you.
